SnoBear Berners

Baby Max in snowy Colorado.

Our Dogs

When we have a litter of puppies they are born in a whelping box at the side of our bed.
They stay there, with mom, until they are old enough to start venturing into other parts of the house

(Andi and her 1 day old puppies in 1993)

We start taking them out on the lawn to enjoy the grass & sunshine at about 4 weeks old.
Until that time our daughter Jessie and grandson Caleb loves to sit in the whelping box, with the puppies & cuddle & love them.
In the evenings you will find us each gathered, watching t.v. while holding a puppy.

"Piggy on Left (FE) "Henry" on Right (M)

We feel this helps with the puppy/human bonding process.

With the varying ages of our children, and grandchildren, the puppies are used to being handled by lots of kids!

Our household is always active & full so the puppies are exposed to many sounds.
We make sure to run the vacuum around them, play music, and get them accustomed to the sounds of "Normal, every day life".
They also are introduced to many different surfaces such as: Tile, Linoleum, grass, gravel, dirt, carpet, concrete, etc.

This makes for very brave, inquisitive puppies, that are full of life, used to children, and a joy to be around.
No shy ones here!

If you are interested in finding out more about us & our dogs please email us.
We are always ready to answer any questions you may have.

If you are interested in a puppy our adoption questionnaire is available online, click on the Adoption Questionnaire Link Below..

We offer to babysit our puppies while their owners are on vacation.
This serves two purposes:

#1. It allows you to go on vacation knowing your dog is safe & having fun with other Berners.

#2. It allows us to spend time with our puppies over their lifetime and evaluate each dog's temperament & physical development, which lets us know how our breeding program is doing.

Some of our puppy owners call us "Camp SnoBears".
