Baxter's admirable show record was further boosted in February, 2000 when he was awarded 1st place in stud dog class at the Cow Palace Show in San Francisco with a entry of 76.
At this same show Baxter's "Get"- son (Best Bet's Bear Necessity's 'Bhalu') received winners dog for 5 points. Baxter's daughter (Best Bet's Cutting Edge 'Fancy') received winners bitch also for 5 points. Baxter has also been involved in two TV commercials.
